    Nobel Prize Winners from Switzerland

    Albert Einstein

    The Nobel Prize in Physics 1921
    for his services to Theoretical Physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect
    Albert Einstein was born in Germany, but he studied at the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. Albert Einstein published his famous works on the photoelectric effect (1904) and on relativity (1905) while working at the Federal Patent Registration Office in Bern.
